Keri and James Wedding Day!

Keri and James wedding was beautiful. The ceremony was held at St. Agnus Cathedral in Rockville Centre and it was perfect in every way! Keri was a gorgeous bride! Connor braved the wedding but we dropped him off at Uncle Pete and Aunt Anne's for the reception so Don and I could cut loose (like there is much cutting lose when you are 33 weeks with child, but what the heck). Hey, who is that sexy guy at table 1???
Had to include this cute photo of my mom cutting a rug!! So funny!

Jones Beach!

SOOO COOl!!!

Hanging out at the beach! It was a gorgeous day.

Pompa and Connor at the beach - this picture reminds me of being at the beach with my own grandpa Stuyvesant.

Connor and daddy hanging out.

My cousin Keri and her dear boyfriend of at least 8 years or so got married on May 22nd in New York. Don, Connor and I braved the 5 hour + plane ride (while 33 weeks prego mind you) to make the event. It was worth every hour that child screamed on the plane! I love going back to Long Island to visit my family. So many happy memories from our childhood trips there. It makes me so sad that I don't live near my relatives, but greatful that Connor and his brother will grow up with their grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins so close. One stop we had to make was to Jones Beach so Connor could play in the "east coast sand". As an awesome bonus, the Thunderbirds were set to do an air show the following day (which is why we went on Thursday to avoid the crowds). However, as we were playing in the sand, the Thunderbirds flew right over our heads and did their entire practice run right before our very eyes. Awesome doesn't even describe how cool it was!!!! Connor thought it was pretty cool too!

Look out Michael Phelps!

So we enrolled Connor in swim lessons at the YMCA down the street from us. I was a little nervous if he would go for it, but it he was in the water no longer than 3 seconds and we knew he would love it. It is every Saturday and Don and I will take turns going in the water with him. Although it will mostly be Don as I work a lot of Saturdays... So the class consists of lots of songs and play, letting the kids lay on their backs and on their stomachs, etc. I am sure you can imagine that Connor's favorite part was throwing the ball across the water and then chasing after it! As you can see from the picture below he is in the lead (not that it is a competition....)

Happy 4th Birthday Joey!

Joey turns 4! I can't believe it has been 4 years since he was born! Such a happy little boy. I am so fortunate to be an aunt to a loving little boy like Joey. He has provided me with so many laughs, so many funny one -liners that I will never forget! I can't wait to see what he does next!

Rachel and Connor had fun playing in all the packages and loot!

Mother's Day

I love the fact that I can fully celebrate mother's day now! What a special day for moms! Don't get me wrong, I loved showering my mom with home-made gifts and flowers from the garden etc. when I was younger, but to be on the opposite end is something special. Don was traveling home from Europe so he wasn't there to celebrate. But we attending mass with the family. During the homily the priest asked all the mom's to stand. It felt really good to be a part of a unique group of women. I love everything about being a mom! It is one of my greater accomplishments in life! And I had the best role model growing up - my own mom! She is the most wonderful woman I know. I have the utmost respect for her and whenever I think of her, I have to smile at all the love and craziness she provided us growing up! I hope that someday my two sons will feel the same way! I had to include the above picture! It is priceless of photo of a cute moment I caught between my sister Sarah and her middle son Joey. Connor is completely intringued by the game of lawn golf taking place out of the frame between cousin Tommy, Pompa and Uncle Matt. It was the perfect day. But the best part of the day came with the blue Expedition pulled into the driveway indicating that my wonderful husband was home safe and sound from another trip. It also didn't hurt that he came bearing chocolate and flowers for the wifey! :)

Happy Bridal Shower Onchi!

Allison is getting married!! Whoo hoo! Maris and Frischy pulled together a fabulous bridal shower for her complete with mojitos and bellinis - Onchi's favorite! Of course I could not partake in the signature drinks, but the food was amazing.....Frischy is quite the gourmet!! I am very sad that I will not be participating in the bachelorette party later this month in Vegas. This pregnancy is really crampin' my style! Just kidding. Being pregnant is a blessing, I just wish all good things weren't happening at once..... I think we were able to hook Onchi up well at this shower, or should I say Eric???
